How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the etrailer Steel Hitch-mounted Cargo basket on a 2022 Kia Sorento. Adding a cargo basket to your Sorento is gonna help you solve the issue of not really having a lot of cargo space, especially if you have the third role model like the one we're looking at here. When your third row is up, you practically have about a foot and a half of cargo space, so this is gonna help resolve that by getting those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you for your journey. Our basket is constructed of powder coated steel that's gonna help protect the basket against the elements out in the real world against abrasions and just road debris. Another real cool feature with this is you're gonna get real solid tie down points for your bungee cords or if you had a cargo net, that's another option to secure everything to your basket. You'll also take notice of the mesh floor, so that's gonna allow you to have those things that may be on wheels or things that are kind of smaller that won't fall through like you see on some of the other cargo baskets. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Hitch Mounted Wheelchair Carrier on our 2022 Kia Sorento. What sets this carrier apart from other carriers is the fact that it has the included ramp. You can deploy the ramp by removing the safety pins and retaining arms, just by pulling and removing. When you first get your ramp, it's gonna be a little tight until it kind of, just due to the powder coat. And you're gonna just use that center arm here and pull out the ramp. And from there, you're able to deploy it upward. more

What a cargo basket is gonna do for you, especially in a vehicle that's more like one of these compact SUVs, it's gonna allow you to get an increase on your capacity for cargo. You can have a space for those bigger, bulkier items or those heavier dirty items that you just don't want to get in the interior of your vehicle. Our carrier is constructed of extruded aluminum, which is gonna give you a lot more stability as far as the pressures of being on the road and holding your gear. On the back here, you can see that you have two additional reflectors that are gonna help you keep your visibility up and a nice solid post along the sides to tie down if you have any things like ratchet straps or bungee cords. The bottom of your tray is pretty open, so if you have some smaller, finer items, you may want to use a cargo bag or look for an option that has more of a mesh bottom to it. more

Today we have a kit with a gear carrier, six cubic feet cargo box mounted to our Quick Base tray. This configuration is gonna be a very fast way for adding cargo space, but also if you're the type of person that wants your cargo with you wherever you go, this is just gonna be like an oversized suitcase mounted to your hitch. Today we are focusing on how it fits on our Kia Seltos here though. So some things to note is it does sit slightly close to the ground, so you do have to be mindful of ground clearance. But a good thing is that you have a lot of clearance for your vehicle. more

Right off the bat, if you're looking for something to expand your cargo space on your Sorento, the Reese is probably one of the most popular cargo carriers here at Etrailer. That's because it creates all this space. You have five feet of length, you have a solid steel carrier, plus this fits into your two inch hitch very easily. The one downside I have for this carrier is you do have to get your own hitch pin and because it's a hitch pin, you are gonna have a bit of wobble. more

This is gonna be a completely modular system. So the whole kit here that you see comes with the Swing Away base, the top shelf that adds the second layer for your accessories, the gear locker box on the bottom and the ski and snowboard carrier up top. And the nice thing about the EXO system is that with it being modular and offering so many different accessories, you can swap things out and get this all individually if you wanted. Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2023 Kia Sorento, we're going to be checking out the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Carrier. First impressions, I think it looks pretty good actually on the back of the Sorento. You know, this is a mid-size carrier, and being that the Sorento is a mid-size SUV, kind of just makes sense you know, it doesn't look funny or way too big or too small. It's going to be a decent enough size to carry around quite a bit of extra stuff. So, if you're going on that vacation or that road trip, you need a little extra breathing room on the inside, you know, you can take some of your stuff, pile it up out here, or it'll even, you know, these come in handy whenever you carry stuff you don't really want to put inside your car, you know, coolers, you know, you're doing stuff around the house, maybe getting some bags of mulch, things like that. more

Hey everyone, it's Evie Angeline here at Etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods aluminum cargo carrier with the 60 inch ramp and how it fits on our 2018 Kia Sedona. This is going to be a 29 by 49 inch aluminum carrier. Now your inside dimensions is going to be 27 and a half inches by 47 inches. So that's how much space you have for the cargo. Now as for how close it gets to the vehicle notice how we still have plenty of clearance from the bumper to that first rail about almost three inches of clearance there. What will not clear though is the ramp and your hatch door. more

Flint Hill Goods Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2018 Kia Sedona- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Compact Cargo Carrier from Flint Hill Goods. This is a hitch-mounted cargo carrier that'll mount into our two inch by two inch receiver tube and give us a place for our extra cargo, whether it's stuff that we just can't fit inside of the van, maybe we've got a lot of gear and we need to put some extra stuff out here, we can do that, or maybe we've got some things that we don't want to put inside the van, whether it be messy bags of concrete or mulch, things from the hardware store that might make a mess, you can leave it out here and not ever have to bring that mess inside, because it's a lot easier to just break out a hose and hose it down than it would be to vacuum out the inside of your vehicle. It is a steel carrier, it's gonna make it nice and strong, and the anti-rattle bolt in there is gonna keep things relatively sturdy, and it's gonna have a 500 pound weight capacity, so even though it's a bit of a smaller carrier, it's got plenty of strength to carry all that gear. As far as your space goes, from front to back, we're gonna be working with 17 1/2 inches of space, and side to side, we're gonna be working with 51 1/2 inches of space. So even though it's compact, it's still packs a punch, and you can fiddle out in here. more

Swagman Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Kia Sorento- Video
Hi everyone, Aiden here at the trailer. Today, we're taking a look at the Swagman Expanse Cargo Carrier on our 2020 Kia Sorento. Cargo carrier is gonna be really nice for either hauling extra gear that you can't otherwise fit inside, or just having some messy, muddy gear out here that you don't want messing up the inside of your vehicle. It can keep that mess outside where it's a lot easier to clean up, you can spray it off with the hose and you're good to go. A couple things to think about with this is your weight capacity, it is gonna have a 400 pound weight capacity and a steel construction. The steel is black powder coated, which will help prevent rust and corrosion, but it's not totally rustproof. more

A cargo carrier, and a hitch bound one at the back, is a great way to carry some extra gear with you that maybe can't fit inside the vehicle, or maybe it's messy stuff. Things like sports equipment, hiking gear, camping gear, stuff from the beach, or maybe mulch and soil from the hardware store that you don't want to potentially spill and make a mess inside your vehicle. If you can keep that stuff out here on a cargo carrier, keep the mess outside, and then when it's all unloaded, just spray it down with a hose and you're good to go. more

So first off, if you are looking for a good ground clearance and if you need something that gives you a little bit of height, this might not be the best option for you. I personally think the best fit or a better fit than this one on your Kia K5 is the etrailer tilt away cargo carrier. That's just because it gives you a 2 inch shank rise which is very necessary with anything that works with your Kia K5. Now with that being said, if you do like the affordability of the Curt Cargo Carrier as well as how it is designed to give you some anchor points, and how it is made to fit with Class I hitches, this might still be an okay option for you. more

We will be able to get quite a bit of cargo out of our trunk, or even just more cargo for our Optima here.It is going to be made of steel and it is going to be available in both a two inch hitch and a inch and a quarter hitch as well. more

Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride we're going to be taking a look at the Curt Hitch Mounted Aluminum Cargo Carrier. Now one of the things I really like about this one is that it's going to be a little bit more compact, especially with the Telluride being a little bit of a longer vehicle. It's not going to sit way out past our bumper and take up a whole lot of space. That way it'll make life a little bit easier whenever we're trying to park in our garage or even a tight parking spot. Now as far as exactly how much length it's going to add to the back of our Kia here at the bumper to the end of our carrier, it's going to be about 25 and a half inches. more

Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier. Now this is going to be one of the bigger carriers available, but it's not going to be so large that it'll look out of place on the back of our Telluride. Now the exact measurements, they're going to be 24" wide X 60" long, and about five and a half inches deep.That's going to give us more than enough room, to put on our full size coolers, camping gear, and even some sporting equipment. The one thing I really like about this, is that we're going to have a raised shank. That's going to help bring that carrier up higher off the ground, that way we don't really have to worry about going up and down any steep driveways.Just in case if you're wondering from the lowest point in here to the ground, it's going to be about 151/2". more

etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer.com tilting and folding cargo carrier. So, this is going to be a great solution to either free up more space inside of your Telluride for more passengers and pets or just to carry more cargo in general. And this is going to be one of the larger cargo carriers available. It's going to measure 24 inches by 60 inches, so that's going to give us more than enough room to carry those full sized coolers, any of that camping gear, or even sporting equipment.Now, it's going to sit a pretty good distance behind our back bumper, which is going to make it really easy to get in here, get it connected or disconnected, and really easy to come in and reach our hatch to get it opened up. And since it does sit a little bit further back, one thing you're really not going to have to worry much about is called the break over point, and what that is is whenever you wanted to open up your hatch with your cargo loaded up, at some point the hatch is going to overlap with your carrier and potentially make contact with anything that you might have on it. more

Now, keep in mind that our cargo carrier has a weight capacity of 600 pounds. We're gonna start by going over some features, take a look at some measurements, and how it works with our vehicle.Now, some of the great features of this rack, or of this carrier, is that we're going to have our round tube outer edge. This is going to allow for many different tie-down points, so we can use bungees or straps to secure our gear. Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2015 Kia Sorento we're doing a test fit of the Curt 24 by 60 cargo carrier. That part number is C18152. This has a 500-lb weight capacity and works with 2" hitches. We already have it installed here, we're going to start off with a few measurements. Ground clearance being first, it's going to be about 13-3/4" of clearance. Overall to our vehicle we're going to have about 31-1/2" and our closest point is going to be about 6-1/2". On our Sorento we do have a single passenger side exhaust here, it comes straight out towards our carrier. Just about even there, so we're going to have about 12" between the end of our exhaust and our carrier. more

Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2017 Kia Soul- Video
Today on our 2017 Kia Soul we're going to be test fitting the 20 by 48 Surco cargo carrier for 1-1/4" hitches, part number 52017. Now this has a 300 pound carrying capacity. It also has this mesh floor here in the bottom which makes it easy to clean. We have this railing all the way around the cargo carrier, which can be used for your tie down straps or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and give you a couple quick measurements now. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outer point here, we've added about 23-1/2" to the rear of the vehicle. The ground clearance is going to be about 10". more

Now this is designed to work with both inch and a quarter and two inch hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. It is a pretty light weight carrier so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. We're going to start off here with it inserted taking a few measurements. First is going to be ground clearance. Surco Products Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2016 Kia Soul- Video
Today on this 2016 Kia Soul, we're going to be test fitting the 20 x 48 Surco Cargo Carrier, part number 52017. This has a carrying capacity of 300 pounds and has a nice mesh floor, which makes it easy to clean. It also has this rail all the way around the cargo carrier, and you can use that as a tie-down point for either your ratchet straps or your bungee cords. I'm going to go ahead and give you some measurements now. Staring from the edge of the bumper to our outer edge here, we've added about 23-1/2 inches to the rear of the vehicle. The ground clearance to this edge here is going to be about 9-1/2 inches, and our closest point to this edge here is going to be about 2 inches. Then, from the center of the hitch pinhole to our edge here is going to be about 6 inches, so if you have different hitches for this vehicle, from the center of the hitch pinhole out, that's how far it's going to stick out. Also, the exhaust on this vehicle is going to be on the passenger side, but it does face down and is about 11-1/2 inches to our cargo carrier itself, so just keep it in mind maybe put some more of your heat-sensitive materials over to the driver side. Now, with it in this position, we do have full access to our rear hatch to get whatever we need. However, I'm going to go ahead and give you a break-over point measurement, and that's going to be the point where whatever it is you're hauling will come into contact with your rear hatch. more
